George Street is a pedestrian precinct during the day, cars are only allowed after 6pm.

If you arrive after 6pm you can park outside the door to unload

1. Travel east along the sea front. With the sea on your RIGHT

2. At the lights turn left into the High Street, and then almost immediately left into George Street

3. Go three quarters the way along George Street. West cliff Lodge is on your right. It is next to a shop called “The Glass Sculptress”

4. After unloading, continue along George Street. Take the first little turning left. And directly opposite is the car park. But before you park, get a permit from the tourist information office.

5. After turning left into the main road, continue on until the road bears hard round to the left. But at this junction, you turn right into the beach car park, and you will see the tourist office on the right as you drive in.

6 . After you’ve bought your permit, leave this beach car park and turn left back along the beach road. Park in the next car park

Then you can walk across the road to George Street.

If you arrive earlier that 6.pm you will need to park first

Travel east along the sea front. With the sea on your RIGHT until the road bears hard round to the left. But at this junction you turn right into the beach car park, and you will see the tourist office on the right as you drive in.

After you’ve bought your permit, leave this beach car park and turn left back along the beach road. Park in the next car park

Then you can walk across the road to George Street.
